Manfred Popp

Manfred has been with Siemens since 1980. After developing products for the automation industry and automating ships for several years he founded a support center for industrial communication. In 1991 he became the head of ComDeC. The Abbreviation stands for Communication Development and Certification. ComDeC is a PROFIBUS and PROFINET Competence Centre as well as a test laboratory.

In 1996 Manfred's book, The Rapid Way to PROFIBUS DP was published. By the end of this year his follow up, The Rapid Way to PROFINET will aslo be available.
