PROGRAMME 2006

2006 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW & PROGRAMME

A Primer Session The 2006 conference had a strong User theme covering system design, implementation and maintenance. The programme incorporated papers covering process, manufacturing and materials handling applications using PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Wireless, AS-interface and safety technologies. As in previous years, the conference incorporated an exciting programme of hands-on sessions, where equipment and techniques were demonstrated using real devices.

The sessions included audience participation with many opportunities to explore for yourself how PROFIBUS equipment and techniques are used in practice. The carefully organised schedule meant that delegates could attend hands-on sessions without having to miss an important presentation.

The programme of parallel conference presentations, hand-on practical sessions and exhibition meant that this event was a "must" for anyone involved in, or thinking about, fieldbus, intelligent instrumentation and actuation, networked control systems applications.

It started at 9.00 am with a Keynote Address open to all delegates after which it split into 2 streams. Presentation times were carefully planned and controlled to allow delegates to switch between streams and individual presentations, allowing everyone a good chance to hear the presentations of their choice.

The 2006 full papers and presentations can be downloaded from our Conference Download Centre .
