Siemens A&D at PROFIBUS International User Conference

 

Siemens will be highlighting the integration benefits brought to Process Automation by a common communication backbone. PROFIBUS is arguably the only proven communication technology providing seamless integration through the information layer (PROFINET), distributed control layer (DP) and field instrumentation layer (PA). In addition to control, this integration also encompasses process and distributed safety (PROFIsafe). The Siemens Safety Integrated concept has been field proven over several years and will be demonstrated on their conference stand, new developments such as PROFIsafe Instruments will also be there.

As open networks are adopted and the use of Ethernet as an industrial communication medium (PROFINET) becomes the norm, security is of paramount importance. Industrial security equipment and experts will be on hand at the Siemens stand.
