Ormond has been living in Germany and working for Siemens since 1988. Ormond spent a number of years programming, installing and commissioning SIMATIC S5 before changing his focus to various Siemens HMI systems (COROS, ProTool and WinCC) and their communication with S7. After spending 4 years in Singapore supporting HMI and Industrial Communication he returned to Germany in 2002. In the last few years he has been working as a regional manager promoting SIMATIC NET Industrial Communication within Europe. The main focus here has been the promotion of PROFINET including wireless communication as the new Open Industrial Ethernet Standard.
