Profibus for Process Automation – Asset management tools at the DCS

This presentation-demonstration will show the issues and workflow concerned when adding a Profibus PA device to a DCS system with appropriate linking to operator workplace and CMMS (MAXIMO). The demonstrations will show

· Profibus derived information can be presented to the operator in a familiar format (just like traditional 4-20mA). Quick demonstration of what the operator would see

· Working with a GSD file is very simple – it does not have to be at the bits and bytes level. A PA device will be added to the system to show this.

· With DCS integration and testing linking to CMMS to provide maintenance savings is easy. Demonstration of fault condition and workflow for the operator/engineer with CMMS.
